Welcome to Art Kepoh › Forums › Public Art › Appreciation
Found this from Taztag insta-story posting, this mural by Caryn Koh was apparently vandalised with markers on the hands and neck, somehow the faces were spared.
Under what condition would somebody do this? what can one achieve by doing this?
Why they do this? I was thinking of bring my Johor friends to see this mural after having cendol this coming Chinese New Year ba!!!
Can local authorities do something?! Can we get the artist to fix this?
So disgusted by the attitude of the public. How can this be fixed?
So ironic that the statement comes from an instagram account that goes around bombing his name on people’s wall
Pretty ironic, but that’s quite demeaning to say. Do you then consider graffiti as art then @Wko8 ? I do not condone vandalism, caryn’s piece was vandalised.
Think that’s the caveat of having your artwork in a public space, it’s open to criticism, feedback and praise. And also itchy hands.
@Amorelle totally depends on the owner of the work. I’d say leave it be, now instead of being a piece of 2d art, it is now 4d.
@Sliz I’m also referring to the fact that there is also a picture in the instagram account where he/she “tagged” the airport and also with the #vandal
@GTHawkins how is it 4d?
Hahahaha! Jaw lock @Wk08! Burn baybeh!
